Coming from Finland I am deeply interested in our ancient culture and traditions. The ancient Finns used to worship the bear. Perhaps that is why I have such an affinity for them. I love how human-like they can be and how incredibly expressive their bodies are. With consideration to careful and minute positioning of these figures I can get them to express their deep discontent with daily life which we can all feel at times. So they become our co-sufferers. Our bears in arms against the curse of Mondays.
