Another of my favourite type of forest shots. Delicate, intimate and not a grand or ‘known’ location.  One of the scenes you chance upon that catch your eye and make you pause to reflect.

The earlier rain in the day creates the curtain of water flowing over this small overhang. The leaves of the trees full and glossy from the rain.  The brown and orange sheen of the Coromandel and Kaimai rocks (they are part of the same geological system) contrasts with the enfolding green of the canopy.
