I always find myself involved in a variety of media at any one time producing a wide range of work.
Being a keen gardener the influences I often use come firstly from nature and secondly from our Pacific environment.
My work combines my love of flowers and design using these themes with repeat patterns and bright colours. The styles I use are always evolving as I develop a theme; work with new ideas or different materials.
Histories, backgrounds and family genes are all important in shaping any artist and craftsperson. During my upbringing I was always shown by example to not be wasteful and to see different uses in things, so weaving and sculpting "found" objects fit well with this. Living near Raglan with my wife Zee and our two children is a great place to get creative and be inspired. I hope you enjoy my work as much as I have in creating it.
