My passion for photography started early with my first career in geophysics when I purchased my first film camera to capture images of the many places I was lucky enough to visit.  

Several years later I hooked up with a trekking company in the Himalayas and started running on-location workshops in Ladakh.  I have been running photography workshops ever since, something I am currently doing in my home in the  Coromandel and at Tiritiri Matangi, Great Barrier Island and Ohope-Ohiwa.

I am above all a nature photographer and have always been influenced by and appreciate our natural environment. I take pictures of all aspects of our amazing environment from macro shots of the tiniest insects to seas, forests, panoramas of the Milky Way and everything in between.

My work is used by a number of environmental and conservation groups to promote their cause.
